quick clearing headlights help

ok so i had my headlight in the oven for ~5 minutes at 250 degrees set of broil. my oven door doesn't close all the way with the headlight in so should i turn up the heat? I'm having a hard time peeling apart the headlight and i've already stuck it in for 3 times. any advice?

The metal clip is on the edge at the pointed end of the headlight.

its not hard man- just take your time and be sure to seal it back up the right way so you dont get any moisture

BTW -- If this helps,I used the bear trap method to seperate the headlights.

Bear Trap Method--------Use great force(careful dont break tab though) and pull apart and away from each other. Also be care full getting the gray bond on anything shiny or the outside lens itself.Use a spackle knife(really fine one if you can find it)to open up a point to start getting your fingers in.Once that happens just pull with confidence.(BUT CAREFULLY)

from what i have read, this is not a highly recommended way,but hell it worked for me and I love my headlights Most people say use two people, one cutting while the other seperates the housings.I didn't have any support so I did what I had to do.

LOL. Everyone of these cleared headlight threads has the exact same structure.

1. Quick question
2. Question answered
3. New question
4. New question answered
5. "I don't want to try that, who is selling a set?"

I'm entertained. That said. I have an extra set of lights that I am going to be blacking out, clearing or color matching and will possibly be selling when done (once I decide what I want to do with them). I'll post it in classifieds then.

The wire has a connector and it connects to the bulb itself. You need to unclip the connector and remove the bulb and the ballast. If you take that torx screw or whatever it is out and twist off the back cup that allows access to the bulb. If you read the write up that is posted all over here about clearing the lights I think that they explain this step. Check it out. HTH.

you can bake the lights with the ballast attached. I did it and have had no issues.
