Smile Questions on 19 Inch Rims for TLS

I am thinking about buying some ADR GT Sports Rims -Hyper Silver- or -Silver- (19x7.5) with Falken ZE 502's (235/35r19 Z) online and want your input on a few questions i have.

1. Does anyone have any experience with 19's on their tls in regards to how has the plus sizing affected your performance (i.e. acceleration, handling, gas mileage etc?).

2. Any problems with the 35 series tires getting dinged by small pot holes/road hazards.

3. How is the Falken Tire quality compared to a more expensive nitto, pirelli or toyo?

4. Wheel rubbing, does it occur. What is the correct offset?

5. And finally I want to purchase them from http://www.whalentire.com as they seem to have the best prices and seem to be a reputable company to do business with. They priced this rim package about $700-$800 less than a local Les Schwab tire shop.

I would greatly appreciate your feedback, thanx!

p.s i attempted to insert a pic of these rims although the file was too big. please help with this!

1. it has a bigger diameter so that takes more power to spin...added diameter could also mean added weight.

2. ultra low profile tires do not help, but if you are lucky, you can have dent-free wheels. you can potentially damage any size wheel if the conditions are right.

3. never really liked falken...i think they are compromise tires. i would go with something better if you can. ask to see what the price differential would be to go to better tires. you will be rolling on them for a while so try not to regret your decision.

4. with a 7.5" width, 50 offset is more than enough. 42 is kinda on the low side. anything in between is ok, but higher the better!

5. that's up to you. i prefer local pick up since i can save on shipping, and look over the wheels and tires to make sure they are clean before i pay the guy!!!

It aint just the weight

19's will adversely affect handling, and it isn't just the weight. The physics of suspension design demands that a signficant change in the rotational forces will affect the dynamic performance of the suspension. Actually, 18's will do that as well.

Do it if you want for looks, but i would bet that a properly set up 17" system will outperform an 18 or 19.

Yeah decide what you want, performance or looks. 19s are definitely not for performance.

Looks like they are a 1-piece wheel. What's the highest offset for 19s?

You need to get something in the +50 range or you'll rub like a MF. Good luck and post pics when you decide what you're getting.

There is nothing wrong w/falken tires...They are better than cumho's...19's are raw, and there arent any laws written in stone saying they slow you down more than 18's...If you really want a superior tire, go toyo t1-S...Wanna good tire with good life go with the falken...Nitto sux in the rain...Shyne

I'd disagree, my 18 inch wheels are 5 pounds lighter then stock each. They have better tires and lots more patch to the ground. Almost perfect.

DONT GET THOSE RIMS.
They're 42 offset. You'll hate your car when it never stops rubbing.
