Question Question for Canadian TLS Owners

Have any Canadian TLS owners purchased the black wood trim package for the dash and vents. I live in Kingston and there is no Acura dealer here. My Honda dealer doesn't have them listed in his computer. They show on the Acura Canada site. Closest dealers for me are Ottawa and Toronto. What did they cost? I bought my car in March before these extras were advertised or I would have purchased them with the car and tried to have them thrown in as extras. Any help would be appreciated.

i don't think there is a difference between the 00 TL and 02 TLs dash and vents. But i recently called up a couple of dealer in Vancouver area about the gauge trim and AC vents. They're ridiculously priced at $208 CDN for the gauge wood trim, and $70 CDN each for the AC vent trims. ( u need 2). While in Detroit recently, called up an Acura dealer selling the gauge trim for $110US. Crazy prices for these pieces of plastic. That's what they are.

FYI, I have gauage panel, and it's in pretty good quality, HOWEVER, dealers will charge you an arm and a leg for it... the best bet for you is buy the whole set on the net....

P.S. Dealer threw in the gauage panel for free before delivery, so I don't know how much the price is... hehe.. Oh, and just thought you would want to know, dealer quoted me $2300 CDN for factory body kit.. includes tax and labour...

Wink

Thanks for the advice. I ordered the 24 piece trim kit from this site. It is about the same price as the gauge and vent kits from Acura, only there are more pieces. Hope they install well. Anyone have any tips for me regarding installing the trim kit?

Advice:

Make sure the interior surface is as clean as possible, no protectant, dust, etc. Clean with alcohol first. Then take your time and stick em on good the first time.

Agree... because once you stick those pieces on, there is no turning back... do one area at a time.... and like Sam mentioned, clean the area THOROUGHLY!!! No protectants/dust/what not on the surfaces....

Astroboy,

You have factory kit? Or aftermarket? $1500(includes tax and labour?) is a good price if it's factory kit...

Andy,

For the body kit, give Cyrus over at Revolution motorsports in Richmond a call. I cant remember what kit it was, but he quoted $1200 to me not too long ago if you're interested.
