I really like the "sport shifter" feature in the TL, since it gives me the choice of an automatic when im lazy or manual when i feel like racing. However, when i put the transmission into "shift mode", the computer will automatically shift if the car revs to high. I was wondering if anybody knew how to disengage that feature in the TL for when i really want to gun-it on a green light.

 

The 00/01 TL will only shift from 1st to 2nd gear. It will not shift up in any other gear.

Also, when gunning it in 1st gear, if floored, it will not shift until the RPMs reach redline.
