Question about red and clear tail lights...
Are there any differences between the OEM 02+ tail lights and the after market red and clear ones? Looks wise? Fitting?.
TIA.
TIA.

OEM has a frosted second lens to hide the color bulb somewhat, while the aftermarket doesn't. If you look really close the OEM said HONDA while the aftemarket said DEPO.
The aftermarket is a direct replacement for 99-01 TLs while the OEM requires a wiring harness change.
I had both, look wise, its hard to tell apart, fitting was good on both. aftermarket is $200 and OEM is $300 (includes wiring harness). So it's a matter of how much is a $100 worth to you.

On Ebay there are two sellers who sells aftermarket ones. Procarparts and Matrixracing. These are both DEPO aftermarket tail. Don't buy from procarparts, they charge more then matrix racing by $6 and you have to bid. Just buy from matrixracing with the buy it now feature for 4 dollars less then procarparts and shipping is only 18 instead of 20.

I bought from matrixracing, good service and email reply too. Goodluck on your choice.

I agree totally with hzm82. I bought a set from matrixracing for my 2000 TL about a year ago now, and they still look and fit as well as the first day I installed them. I also used the buy-it-now and saved over procarparts.-Nard
