One is $80 and the other is just $20.

 

paying for the name. Polarg are popular, expensive bulbs, comparable to Raybrig.

 

So it is just a matter of quality? like saying Sony or Apex for a TV? lol

 

name doesn't always mean quality. Sometimes it just means you're paying a premium for a brand.

 

but a $60 difference? Anyone got the $80 ones before? What are ur thoughts of them?

 

never seen how the Polarg fogs look like (don't think anyone here has ever tried em), but i've seen pix of the MAX Golds and they look pretty good to me. i'd have to be really convinced to spend that kind of $ on the Polargs. just do a search and you should find the pix others have posted up.

 

Dude. I got those Polarg fogs and they are not worth the money...They show a hint of yellow. I paid $65 bucks and regret it. I like the Raglites better. Just bought 4 pairs

 

Here's my take on name brand bulbs. I bought PIAA 9005 bulbs TL and Eaglite 9005 bulbs for my Accord. PIAA Xtreme Whites were like 70 bucks and Eaglite were 15. They both have good color output. People will say PIAA/Polarg would have longer bulb life....but look at the price. Unless the PIAA/Polarg last 4x longer then the cheaper bulb, it's not worth it. I can get almost 5 Eaglite for the price one 1 PIAA.

So I recommend getting the Max and not pay 60 bucks for the Polarg name.
