Hi, I am considering purchasing an aftermarket NAV/DVD HU for my TL, but I have a couple questions that I was hoping someone could help me out with. 1) If I replace my HU, do I have to replace all my bose speakers with aftermarket speakers? 2) if I do have to replace my speakers what size is the stock sub, and are there any brands that offer a direct fit replacement? Will I need an aftermarket amp to power a replacemtn sub? 3) Any brand recommendations? - Thanks

 

No, you won't need to replace the speakers. You will have to do some custom wiring to get the sub to work with a aftermarket head unit though. Having said that the stock Bloz speakers suck and you will benifit from a aftermarket set of components and amp to power them (the stock amp is built into the hu). 6.5s will fit but depending on their size you may need a spacer
