put my "2nd" resonator back on...check engine

I took off my 2nd resonator a little while ago and got tired of the hum, so i decided to put it back on today and when I start the engine, the check engine light appears. Why is this. Oh, in the process of putting the resonator back on, while everything was unplug, I forgot and started the car and moved it into the garage. Is this the reason why the light is showing. what can I do?

Plug everything back, disconnect the battery for 1 minute, then reconnect the battery. Start your car and check engine light should be gone, it worked for me.

off topic, but when I went to the dealership to get my unlock code for my HU. I gave them the wrong serial, so the guy got in my car and took off the passenger side woodgrain, and ta da, my serial was right there and also my unlock code. turns out someone wrote it there. but anyways, the dealership told me at first that it would cost 90 buck, because they have to take out the hu to get the hu. For me this was not true, I am not sure about others but my serial was under the passengerside woodgrain piece

i did not ask about the vin, they just told me that they have to take out the HU. 90 buck, that is why some call them the "stealership." They always want to make things sound difficult to people to make it like they spending the money well. Luckily the guy that serviced me was helpful in the end to find the serial.

Dealerships might charge $90 to do this to 'discourage' people from losing their code again. At least at my dealer, they handed me the Owner's Manual package, specifically took out the little white cards (HU and NAVI) and showed me where the codes were, said I should store them in a safe place - not in the car, then when they showed me the features in the car, they mentioned the codes and the white cards again.

That does suck about the HU and pass code. Since I got mine used I did not get the ID card for my HU when purchased. I guess when its time to disconnect my battery or replacement, I will not pay 90.oo to get the PW for my HU, instead get a HU thats better then the BOSE, and that should be any CD player , lol
