I need some help. i hardley use my TL because i live in nyc
i use my car mostly on weekends. Anway i have not used the car in about 3 weeks and when i went to take out the car out the garage TO SHIFT OUT OF PARK TO D-5 IT GOT STUCK.. Like it FROZE or somthing so i just Forced it out of Park Gear and moved it back and forth ... Well when i park the car over night or a few hours it happens again? dose anybody get this same problem? thanks. Danny PLEASE HELP! OR IS THE SHIFTER RUSTED?

 

If you dare drive it, take the car directly to the dealer. But beware! This sounds like a transmission problem, so the car might not make it to the dealer... It would be best to have a friend follow you just in case.

 

I believe others on this board have described your symptoms as that of a tranny failure. You need to have your baby towed to the dealer for a looksee. Sorry to hear about this....
