How many miles do you have??

Let me guess.. about 6500??

It's just probably letting you know that the 7500 service is coming up pretty soon..

I would take it to the dealer ASAP. The maintainence light blinks when it is time for the 7500 service.

It's not that serious.....7500 mile service is nothing big. It involves an oil change, rotation of the tires, new wiper blade, and some adjustments.

The "Maintenance Required" light is just a reminder that your mileage is approaching a maintenance interval -- it doesn't indicate that there is anything wrong with the car. The instructions for resetting this reminder light are in your owner's manual.

The "Check Engine" light is the one you should be worried about -- it only illuminates when the car's ECU detects a trouble condition and stores an error code.

Yep mine has been flashing for 600 Miles now, I'll take it in when I am closer to 7,500 miles.

Wiper blades at 7,500? Thats kinda odd.

Wonder if I could convince them to go with silicon blades..

I'm at 7200, so it's been flashing for a while. Once it goes solid, I'll just reset it and do the tuneup myself....

Actually, mines didn't stop blinking until I have over 12K. I guess the dealer reset it when I got my oil change around 7500. Anyway, I resetted myself since I know I am up to date with my maintenance.

Do some people even read the owner's manual all the way through?

The maintenance light issue is discussed in the manual, you know...

Engine Service Light

The Maintenance Required indicator light is documented on page
67 of the 02 TL Owner's manual. It also documented how to reset the indicator after completing the scheduled maintenance if it is done by someone other than an Acura dealer (page 67).
I thought people who is willing to spend time reading and replying to the forums at this website would also read the
their TL Owner's manual
