Question Problem w/ Navigation

This weekend my Navigation on my 03' tl-s started to act wierd. First i turned the car on an the navi would not turn on. I finally turned the car off for a few seconds and turned it back on and the navi then worked ok. Last night i drove to the mall and when i turned the car on to leave the navi came on and the touch screen only 1/2 worked. If i touched the "previous destination" button it activiated the button above it. No matter what i tried the touch screen wasn't working right. i turned the car off and back on and this seems to fix the probelm.

Anyone else have this happen or know why it's doing this. I'm taking to the dealer thursday afternoon (and Murphy's law says it will work fine when i get there).

Yes I've had that once. It only happened when I was in a big hurry and needed the navi to work

It didn't respond to touches for about 60 secs. Then it went back to normal.

Me too, it happened on my '99 model a few times and then it stopped and never came back again.

Hey, sorry to hear about your problem. I've had my navi not cooperate with me just once. I had parked in such a way that the sun was beaming directly onto my navi. When I got ready to drive to lunch I discovered that my buttons weren't working! I finally figured out that it was probably heat-related and used the joystick until the unit cooled off (I closed my sun roof). I don't know if any of this relates to your problem but just thought I'd add to the possibilities.

Later,

V.

Thats a possiblilty, it was sitting in the sun for a while. I didn't make it the dealer today, but since no one else really seems to have had this problem it was probably a fluke, i hope. i'f it does it again, i'll go back to the dealer.

You can reset the nav while you are driving by turning the ignition again.
