Power Steering Fluid?

Does it need to be replaced? I took my car to the Acura Dealership last week and they mentioned that the Power Steering Fluid should be replaced soon. I didn't know that it was something to be replaced...

Sometime I get a small noise (rotation noise?) after I had turn the steering wheel fully and release it (for example, after backing out of a parking lot...)

Never thought much of it.

u sure u wasnt just running a lil low??

i dont know where the drain is....but i replaced my reservoir once(long story why i had to do it!) when i did that i had to add new fluid...its real easy, only clips holding so u can change all the fluid in the reservoir, if that helps

easiest is with 2 people.(take teh return line to the res and stick it into a bottle 1 to turn the wheel 1 to poor fluid in teh tank as it goes down

Do I have to worry about air bubble or anything, like when you do the brakes?

only if you let teh level get to far down.
PS fluid is something that really doesnt need to be changed often, it doesnt go thru stresses of temp and breakdown like other fluids. i honestly wouldnt waste time or money on it yet

Nope, not really. If you look at the PS reservoir, there is air in there. It's not a sealed air-free environment like the brakes. But like Kris said, if the level gets too low, then it will suck in the air instead of the fluid, and you could have momentary loss of PS.

In fact, I had to remove the PS hoses during the installation of UR pulleys, and there was no problem; with brakes, you would have to bleed the system. On an off-topic note, the underdrive pulley overdrives the PS pump, and the fluid is circulating through the system at a faster rate; the vortex inside the reservoir tank is cool as hell to watch. (I'm easily amused. )
