Potential problems with new TL
I"m going to be buying a new TL on Feb 23, 2002. Was into the dealer yesterday since I had to be in Milwaukee for a concert.
Test drove the '02 TL Anthracite that has SOLD and my name on it. Have some observations.
1. Love the color
2. A friend who drove me in his '01 Maxima told me that the TL ride was stiffer than his ( I thought the handling was better).
3. Most worrisome to me, I thought the pick up was not as I had remembered when I had test driven this car twice before. When turning into a street, I stepped on the accelerator a little more than usual to see if I could feel the torque and thought the car revved and heard the engine but did not feel the pull.
???I'm thinking of asking the salesperson to get the mechanic to test drive it to check for what I'm not sure. I thought I could do this since I have not signed on the dotted line yet. Can you guys help me out. What should I ask the mechanic to check-whether this TL accelerates like others? The salesperson was superb and soooooooooo polite. Really class dealership.
3. Last point, the salesperson, who sat in the rear, said that the fade must be off with the stereo when the radio was turned on because it was soft in the back. When I checked the fade and balance all were in the middle. Should I ask her to test that with a CD too. I did not have time to check all these things out, since I was in a hurry.
Any help would be much appreciated.

The stereo has better sound in the front speakers. This is normal on mine. Also, you may need to jack up the bass.
BTW, you're colour choice is great,(see my sig)LOL
