Unhappy Pop goes the TL

I was driving in Santa Barbara, I made a right turn to go up a hill. Suddenly a really loud "POP" and the car started to roll down the hill. I hit the gas to stop the car from rolling down the hill, and more nasty sounds came out of it like a grinding type of sound. So I was stuck in there for a while. I called the Acura roadside and they claimed they only cover the first $100. of the tow. So I called AAA and they showed up and no problems. So I don't know what the problem of the car is. I haven't looked at it but maybe a cv joint popped or I hope not but the transmission. I know I will look at it tomorrow and then send it back to Acura. Any ideas on what it can be?

Well I took it to Acura and they called me this morning they said because my car was lowered they wont cover the axle. He claims that it snapped inside the casing??? I don't know where he is talking about. But it's going to be 400 for the repair 199.95 for the parts and 200 for labor. Good thing that I have a 100 savings card from them and they are going to honor it and brings it down to 300. I guess it's better then a couple grand.

I would just replace it yourself if you can- the part is only $75

At the least try to get the part from somewhere else for cheaper. They will do any installation work even if you don't get the parts from them.
