Picked up a 2000 tl for scrap prices with a blown head gasket a couple months ago and did the head gaskets, timing belt kit, and all new gaskets and seals. Been driving it about a month now with no major issues. It's going to need some new brakes soon. Thinking about just doing the legend calipers and some ebc pads and rotors when I do it. I saw some cl people are running the brembo calipers off an rl but I havent found enough info or the adapters even the cl needs to use those. Looking forward to learning stuff about these cars...always been a nissan guy so everything in the honda world is somewhat new.
Welcome to the Forum!
First off, let me say congrats on your first Honda. My 2000 TL is my first Honda as well, and the experience has been a good one. Great engines paired with glass transmissions for the 2nd Gens, but overall a good car that can be even better with an AV6 Swap. Good group of guys here that have been a huge help to many. Good Luck!

That was the first mod I did to my automatic CL-S project car. I found the two-pot right side caliper with no problem; however, the left side was a bit more of a challenge. Good Luck.
I daily a CL-S6, as soon as I found all the components (not easy!) for the E-brake conversion, I did that as well.
I kept forgetting to disengage the E-brake pedal, on the automatic, it was a major annoyance for me so away it went!

Keep in mind, the RL did not come with Brembo calipers, as far as I know, the only Acura with Brembos is the 3G TL 6MT and Type-S models. The RL had a different brand of 4-pot calipers.

Yeah I've been doin some hunting while it was slow at work and noticed they arent the brembo ones like on the tl. Was thinking it's like nissan where they throw brembos on everything lol

that's nice! I'm not a fan of the foot brake and was talking about searching if there is a swap to a hand brake down the road.
She picked up a little misfire today after work. It's not the heat soak issue these tend to have since it was sitting outside in the 50s. My gf also has an accord that does it bad so I know that feeling. Going to throw the scanner on it tomorrow at work and see what's up...got a 420 in there so the light stays on 🤦♂️
As a general rule, if you have a sudden onset of misfiring, swap your coils around and follow the misfire. Then replace that coil (Hitachi or Denso are the OEM brands).

Looks like what I'm going to try to do this weekend. It's still not bad enough to throw the light for a misfire just had the 420 still. And in the live data it only has a total misfire count and not individual cylinders so gonna go the old school way. I got a few extras at work and 6 good ones on my gfs car lol
