The lights look really good, but do you know anything about the legality of the clear lights? I'm in CA like you, and want to clear the lights, but would like to know whether I'm violating any kind of law before I do it. Is it OK as long as the light blinks orange or do you need the orange reflector?

I thought in CA you need to have front turn signals either white or amber and rear ones be red or amber. the reason why the fronts were amber is because you can only have amber side turn lights and since the headlights kinda wrap around the sides, that it needed to flash amber. I was thinking of the same thing myself, since Im on the verge of ordering super whites bulbs for the front turn signal and figured that should be legal as long as I dont clear out the strip of amber underneath the turning bulbs.

The last time I gotta ticket on my lude for having white "side" turn signals I asked the CHP officer exactly what the rules were. I never actually checked the vehicle codes myself but what he told me was....
The front turn signals can be either white or amber in color. BUT the sidemarkers need to have an amber reflector in it. and so I asked can I leave it clear and just put an amber bulb in it....and he said no...it needs to have an amber reflector not just an amber bulb. And so the bastard gave me the ticket for having clear sidemarkers....front and rear ....
