Perfect Looks

What is the optimal size of wheels for a TL in terms of looks? Personally I think 17''s do the job, but I see many modding to 18" and above. I think that's o.k. as long as you can see the diameter of the entire wheel. Drops start to look a little wierd... it sorta of looks like fenderskirts of the 50's.

At what point does it become ridiculous? ... 72" bulldozer wheels sticking out of the fenders and above the roof?

19's are the absolute max on a tl, and most cars for that matter. 20's are a bit ridiculous on most sedans, only work on trucks in my opinion.

problem is, you can't just upgrade the wheels. any plus sizing of the wheels makes a drop mandatory.

i'm happy with my stock 17's for now. in my opinion, they're some of the nicest stock wheels out, along with the is300's

I am very happy with my 17s. I was parked on the street last night and I looked at my car at an angle, it looked so nice. Especially when it is clean and the stock rims compliments the car very well. :wow:

I wish I can get a set of stock 17's for my 99 TL. I would take that and pump those in the spring. I was offered an "OK" set with some scratches with tires for $800.00. I turned them down, I'd rather a clean set. But IMO I think the stock 17's are tight, Agean I agree with you on the IS300 stock rims.
