Unhappy Bubble in my Tire...

So...today was absolutely gorgeous...I was outside for 2 1/2 hours scrubbing my baby...cleaning her outside and inside...every single inch. Then daddy waxed her for me

Buttttt, when I backed it into the garage (to be waxed) I noticed a slight buldge in my front driver's side tire. The beginning of a nice, HUGE bubble. My car only has 10,000 miles on it, and I really baby her. Was it the pothole I hit a few weeks back? Could it just be the tire?? Do I have to just get a whole new tire?!!!

I'm sad.

It probably is because of the pothole. Don't feel bad cause I finally washed my TL today after the whole winter without and I found out a couple of new scratches.

BTW, I would definitely get a new tire. Tires are the most important thing on a car next to the engine so it's better to be safe than sorry.

wouldn't the tires be more important??? Engine doesn't work.....you're stuck and not moving........but tires popping will get you killed.......my faincee's new CRV tires blew on the highway and the car was totalled..........TIRES MOST IMPORTANT thing on the car IMO. (btw I'm really paranoid with tires....check air pressure often and inspect the tires visually before driving) If you got tire dmg, take it in

If you bought yours new, look in your owners manual packet to locate the tire warranty and you may be able to get a road hazzard adjustment. Oh and BlackShadow, you should feel good to have only found a a couple of scratches, I found them all over after a good wash.

Are you reading what you are writing?

Tires are more important?...no because if the engine is not working then how can the car move? If the car don't move then how can the tires pop?

And you're right, if the engine doesn't work then you're not moving. Don't you think that makes it more important than the tires?:p

Unless I am reading your post wrong.

but if the car isn't moving.....its not life threating.........I never heard of a person getting killed because they couldn't start their engine (unless it stalls or something but come on....not usually on these cars)......but after Firestone messed up my uncle's Ford Explorer and took his life and my fiancee's CRV (bridgestone tires so its still firestone) blowing on the highway and got totalled...... I put tires above anything.

If the tires are not moving then it's not life threatening either.

For the tires to blow on the highway, the engine has to be working. Therefore it is rated at #1.

Tires ARE the most important part of the vehicle when you are talking about SAFETY...
The Engine is the most important part of the vehicle when you are talking about GOIN ANYWHERE lol...

So I would say you both are right...

just a tire? after 10k there might be some wear on the other 3 tires.....usually tires are bought in quads cuz your wheel traction is not the same on the old one.....I hope your dad had the person where he bought the wheel take a look at your wheels.....

Kateala.....I'm just saying you should replace all 4 wheels at the same time.....replacing just one isn't a good idea, since you got like 10k thread wear on the other 3 and a brand new one has 0 miles thread wear.....look to replacing the other 3 old tires very soon

I disagree, if the other 3 are semi worn, I would just have replaced 2 of them and kept them on the same axle; the front one. The difference front and rear shouldnt make that big a difference in handling unless the 2 old tires were completely bald.

I have to replace two tires due to bubbles. What tires should I get? I'm going to leave the two good stock tires on since the car is only 6 months old.
