You call up an auto paint store/body shop and order SSM paint in a spray can...use a couple of coats of a high build primer on the engine cover, and a couple of coats of paint with ample drying time in between. I'm not sure on the price of it, I got my paint for free through my dad's friend.

pick up the phone book and look for your local automotive paint stores. most can custom mix and put it into a spray can. all you need to do is give them your paint code.

it should be like 15-20 bucks (atleast around here it is)

bro, buy a can of their "sandable primer" in white. Spray like 2-3layers of that (spray evenly and like 10inches away so its thin and even) and then use the spray pain of your choice.

Now, i also tried some of their metalic sprays and they suck. Mine came out good but it lasted a week. So i bought some red brake caliper paint (injen cai is chrome with red rubbers) its 1200*F heat resistant -unnecesary but it stays- and when it was done with, it came out smooth, bright and very clean.

Also try bbq grill paints, or engine/caliper paints. These are opaque, they got cool colors and one can will paint the whole cover, battery cover and the other 3-4 covers around the engine bay.

if you want it to look better, get a profesional paint that **** with car paint and dont worry, be happy

since when did they start iding people for paint.????/?

just get a good primer and paint. heat paint is not necessary. automotive paint will have the most choices and great colors.
