Question Paint Question

My TL is in the shop right now getting the front bumper and hood repainted. I had brought my car in on Wed, and was promised the car for Saturday. On Saturday, I was told the car would be ready on Monday. I called again today, and was told that my car still wasn't ready. I told them that I absolutely needed my car by tomorrow, since I'm going to be moving out of state on Wednesday to start a new job. My question is this: when I went to the shop today, I saw my car being worked on. From my limited knowledge about painting, it appeared that the front bumper and hood have already been primed. In 24 hours, is it possible for them to complete the paintjob PROPERLY on my car?

Thanks in advance.

from my exprience, if they worked on ur car now, it should take them roughly 2 to three hours for them to put the base coat, then clear coat. then a few hours to dry. So by tomorrow, it should be ready. Just my opinion.

Yes, if they say it isn't ready it will be because of their lazyness. They worked on other cars and that's why it wasn't ready for Saturday. Especially if it was just for a re-paint and not to fix damage.

yes, you should never rush a paint job. it'll look like crap if it's not done correctly.

I know, i REALLY didn't want to rush them, but like I said I have to relocate to start my new job so I'm kinda screwed if I dont' have my car. Hopefully it'll turn out OK.

I'm getting my exhaust straightened out, 2 peeling door pillars replaced, dents pulled, front bumper completely repainted, the front part of my hood repainted, and a complete detail. $800 cash-- seem like an OK deal? I've gone to this place in the past to get bumpers painted for the other cars in my house and they've always done a good job. Getting the job done in a timely matter is another matter.
