Opinions on fogs needed!!
Personally I'm going 4,300k to match. In the summer I like to do a lot of driving out into the middle of nowhere, and the middle of nowhere doesn't have a lot of lights, and has a lot of animals and other random crap that can surprise you. That's why I want the maximum visibility I can possibly get out of my lights.

i have 6000k headlights i just put in a couple months ago and just put in the 3000K HID fogs tonight... still waiting for them to break in, i decided with the 3000K fogs because im currently in college at radford, which is in the middle of the mountains, and it gets foggy/rainy/shitty alllll the time here in the mountains, but if i move back to richmond or somewhere with not as bad weather i will probably get some 6000K fogs to match my headlights... still waiting for the 3000K fogs to break in to decide how much i like them, i heard that it takes about 60 hours or so for the bulbs to break in so only time will tell! plus very easy install.... and i dont know much about vehicles except what ive learned the past year on this site!

Hey taylor is that pic in your avatar your new fogs?
my driverside is burnt out of course and the glass has a hole in it and i want to replace it with a factory one. but i do want hid fogs.
do you need to buy a kit to get the wiring and ballasts?
does the plexi lens's melt if you go with a 4300 bulb?

it might melt it might not. you never know. However HIDs will not melt the lens if it is glass. New foglight FTW. EBAY it up man.
If you buy an HID 9006 conversion kit then it comes with everything you need. You just plug stuff in. Pretty straight forward. you do not have to know alot at all about cars to do this. If you can replace a lightbulb then you can do this.
Ask bigshortie...he just got done putting his in tonight

go to the home depot or other store and get some clear silicone in a tube. Wrap electrical tape around each plug and then put silicone around the tape. Seal up anything else that looks like it might be exsposed and you will be fine brutha
i think it depends if you want driving lights for extra road lighting, which I think stock HIDs take care of pretty good as it is. Or if you want real fog lights for inclement driving conditions such as fog, rain, or snow. personally I like 3000K fogs best, they look dope and are best for driving visibility just my

thanks man, i will definitely be doin that soon, hopefully tomoro
I am finally getting them back (+ my 2nd set of retros) next week tuesday (so excited!).
Hmm, this is something I hadn't considered. I'll have to have the shop doing my HID fog install make damned sure it's all nice and sealed up.
it is just cheap insurance for your HIDs. If you have the black plastic under your car then it shouldnt be a huge problem at all. they shouldnt get wet really depending on where you mounted them. I put my ballasts right under my headlights and the plugs face downwards. Gravity should take care of any water but i sealed them up just in case
