ok so as you all prolly read my previous thread about me getting 2 tint tickets in a day... yea well guess what... theres a THIRD ONE!!!! its like my car has a big yellow sign on top of it saying " ILLEGAL TINTS. GIVE TICKETS HERE NOW"... and to top it off.... its raining so hard here and the stoopid focking belt pkwy has no lights on the highway.. so im hitting bumps and running into puddles of water like its right. So yea... Anyone kno wat happens wen u get to much water into ur intake filter and ur alternator.. i heard wen water gets into those, it can damage it. Say if i did damage it driving tonite... should i have heard neting in particular or notice neting dif? or will everything appear tommoroo? Like my car not starting and wat not...

o wait wait... theres more... almost forgot... so like i was saying.,.. i was on the highway and i ran over something at like 60mph with my front right side and NOW guess what... i have a few dents and seems that my mudguard thingie is FUCKED!!!! didnt bother to look into that because its pouring out and cold... now im going to go talk to my stoopid girlfriend and tell her to pay up because its all her fault for dragging me out tonite...

sorry to hear about that.. nypd is cracking down on tints this month for some reason.. how dark is your tint?

i have 50 % windsheild, 20 all around but back is like less than 5.. i think imma juss ride a bike.. bikes r hot! fast too

 

As for the intake, be extremely careful in the rain. The sewage system in New York City sucks and the puddles start coming very quickly in heavy rain. I know this because during Hurricane Ivan on a Saturday morning on South Street in Manhattan my car got stuck in a huge flood due to my AEM CAI. Total damage done: $11,900.

For the record, I saw 2 TL's on the Belt Parkway today alone going Eastbound (I was headed Westbound, this was by the BQE) that had such dark tint that I couldn't even see inside. Cops in New York nitpick about as much as they can so why would anyone cause themselves this trouble?

 

Plus, it was raining, so it makes the 20's completely black and the front becomes really dark also...

 

yea i feel you cops hate my tints.....5% all around with 50 on the windshield

 

i think mine is good enough.. not too dark not too light. i have 35 fronts and 20 for the rest.. never got pulled over by NYC cops. and im there everyday for work..

 

i live in illinois but with utah plates, the cops never fuck with me since i dont have illinois plates. i have out of state plates, license and registration. if a cop did fuck with me for tints he would be a real asshole
