DANGER !
The flashing oil light is trying to tell you that your engine's oil is dangerously low !!!!
Do not continue to operate without adding oil, otherwise you may risk internal damage to your car's engine. Oil is the blood line of the engine, keeping moving parts lubricated to prevent seizing and meltdown.

I'm assuming that the oil pan's drain bolt is stripped along with the pan's receiving threads where the bolt is inserted. This, or any other major leak causing the oil light to come on requires immediate attention and will need replaced ASAP. The oil will leak out around this stripped bolt. In the meantime, get some oil into the car now !

It's probably the oil pressure sensor malfunctioning.

Anybody know what would cause the oil light to flicker for a brief second only when the car is first started, but only when the car has already been driven?

hows the oil look?
I would run half a can of seafoam in the oil,,with a new filter
drive 100 miles and change oil and filter
if clogged passages are involved that will cure it

could be an oil pressure sensor dirty or failing

whats up with the drain plug leak?
