Can anyone tell me what needs to be done to fix this leak? I just bought this car and installed a new transmission last weekend. I’m hoping I don’t have to tear this car down again as it took almost two days to replace the transmission. The oil leak is coming from above the oil pan. It’s looks like the Honda bond has failed right above the bead from the the oil pan. I think if I tighten the two bolts I pointed out in the photo the oil pan will then start to leak. Right now it leaks a drop once a day. It is even worth the headache.

Not sure if you already tried;, however, try and hose down the area with brake clean, to remove the oil that is present, then monitor to try and further isolate exact oil leakage area. It may be worth just monitoring, for now, until it starts to become more of a nuisance to you.
Maybe it is just the #13 spool valve filter assembly on the #12 spool valve assembly. That would be the easier repair versus an #1 oil pump assembly hondabond reseal which would involve the pan as well.

Thanks for the reply. It’s just recently started to leak a couple drips every night. I first thought the leak was coming from the oil pan but I know the did a thorough job of sealing the pan during the transmission job last Saturday. This morning I sprayed everything down with brake clean and let the car idle for 3 hours. After three hours I found the oil starting to appear in the picture above. I tightened both bolts in the previous picture above and then drove the car for a couple hours this evening. Tomorrow morning I’ll put the car back in the air and check for leaks. I guess the worst case scenario is pulling the oil pan again..
Unfortunately there are a couple of o-rings buried deep inside these engine assemblies that can cause problems; especially if a car has been sitting for any extended period of time (for example when awaiting a new transmission).
You can try to replace those which are easiest to access: Parts 13, 15 & 29 in the page zeta sent.
A more involved approach (as I believe requires timing belt removal) would be to replace oil pump seals/gaskets: parts 2, 24, 26 & 27.
You may find that you need to replace both...These cars are quite old and I would factor in replacing any seals associated with areas you work in as you perform maintenance.
