Unhappy Oil leak help!

i've got an oil leak under my hood. seems to be right under the motor mount on the passenger side. it doesn't leak onto the ground just leaks onto metal engine bay. i checked for any sources but didn't seem like there was any. is there any oil in the motor mounts? oil seems to accumulate right there? any help would be appreciated. thanks!

if its on the passenger side its possibly coming from the Oil Filter. its located on the passenger side right above the frame. it could be running down that after a oil change

Wow bro I got the same problem. Is it leaking like underneath the engine, where the metal frames are bolt together? I tried some chemicals with no luck (hoping it was a seal), so tomorrow I am going to the stealership for a diagnostic. I can update tomorrow and see what they say. Hope it isn’t a real main seal, I heard that will cost a lot!!!

have you looked to see if its coming from the oilfilter, or came from it durring the last oil change?

Check and see what kind of oil it is. Is it engine oil or power steering oil, etc.?

yesterday, i jacked up my car and checked out the oil filter. no leak from there. and i also checked the power steering fluid, no leak from that resevior either. but where i see the oil is right there under the power steering fluid resevior. can't seem to find the source of leak. it's driving me crazy.

i found some oil on the part of the engine bay right underneath the power steering fluid resevior (part of body of car in engine bay). it's hard to explain. it would be great if i had a picture but i don't have a digi cam.

there is nothing up that far that would leak oil. either its a random spill from your last oil change, or it came from the filter area during your last change. That or its not oil. are you sure its oil?

yeah, seems to me like there's nothing there that could really leak oil. must be random spill from somewhere else. i went out to check under the hood and it seems like no more leak. i've been driving for a day now. 2 days ago, i wiped it clean to see if more leak, but doesn't seem like it. i hope it stays that way. hey, thanks for all your help and input fsttyms1. you've been really helpful. this forum is really great.

No problem. just keep a eye on it from time to time, butim guessing that its something that got splashed or spilled durring the ast change!

Woooohooooo got back from the dealership and found that I have a rear main seal that is leaking. They said it was about 30 bucks in parts, but 8 hours of labor, I was like oh shit!!! **$900** Luckily I found out that since I bought the car CPO, it has a 7 years 100k on the power train, which the rear main seal is part of, so I got the entire thing covered under warranty, and got a brand new TSX to drive around for 3 days!!!

Congrats that your leak is just a spill from a pass oil change, as stated by fsttyms1 and not something major!!!
