Maybe this is a dumb question but if you had the oil jet kit installed does that cancel out the 100k warrenty on ur tranny?

No, they are seperate. One is a recall and one is a warranty.

No it doesnt. Its for an entirely separate issue. The warranty extension is for the problem we all have

When you go to www.acura.com ownership experience and register your car by vin number
it will tell you if you need the oil jet, and if it says -status fixed- it has already been done
Otherwise take it in for that- its a recall and its free

The 100k extended transmission warranty covers a -failure of the transmission-
read the symtoms on the acura.com site

Also everyone should call Acura at 1-800-382-2238 and register there as well

Yep OPEN means you are covered by the 7/100 (109?) transmission warranty

No worries

where does it tell you if your covered or not. I have looked all over the ownerlink site and couldn't find it. I have an 03 type s, and i don't believe its covered under the extended warranty. Why is it that certain 03 TLs aren't covered under the extended warranty? its the same tranny isn't it?

You have to register there with your VIN #.
Some arent covered for some dome reason. Acura claimed that they had fixed the issue within a specific vin range but the didnt

Do you guys know if in Canada the 7 years/ 109k miles transmission warranty is effective ?
Or only 160K kms = 100K miles only .
