oil expert and cross country road trip question

My car is about 82K. I changed oil 5-20 Mobil1 500 miles 2 months ago. Then, I used the car for a month and let it park at home in FL for a month while I was out of town. Now, I am coming back home and want to take the car cross country? (FL-CA 2800miles )

Should I replace the oil before I start the car again? Or just use that oil and replace it when I get to CA after about 3000 miles.

I already changed the spark plugs, replace new trans @ 78K (warranty), and replace the rear pads, my mechanic said front pads have about 50%, seafoam the car w/ last oil change.

I also plan to replace the timing belt, water pumps, and TB tensioner. Is there anything I need to do with car before I take it for the road trip?? Thank everyone for your input.

read your manual:
normal use: 7500miles/12month
severe use: 3750/6 month.

You got synthetic oil, I don't see your problem

Some people go 10,000 to 15,000 miles between changes with Mobil 1. Don't worry.

But I am talking about leave the car for a month w/o turning it on. I normally change my oil between 5k-8.5k by the way.

does not matter. You can drive it for 1 month and leave it off for 11.
Oil needs to be changed once a year regardless of millage.

You should be fine on the oil until after you get to the west coast. After a month of not being started, my car's battery will have drained to the point of needing a jump start. If your battery is ~4+ years, it may be advisable to have it checked before the long drive. Check the tires as well (air pressure, sidewall cracks). General condition inspection but nothing specific to sitting for a month.

The T/B and W/P after 105,000 miles.

Admirable. I think it is a bit over zealous about the oil change intervals, but it doesn't hurt anything.

Yes you are dumb. You are wasting natural resources needlessly. You aren't gaining anything by changing the oil that often and you might start pissing people off at your job. I know I'd be pissed if one of my employees was taking advantage of complimentary oil changes. Unless they aren't really free and you're just stealing them. So once again, you are stupid and/or dumb.

Make sure to check all tire pressures and set 2 psi higher than normal for the trip
Check the spare and tire change tools
Seafoam the gas and dont sweat the oil. 15 minutes driving and its burned off the moisture buildup
Enjoy the trip- I would put 3000 on my TL and not do anything but check the fluids and lights all working

I change my oil every 3.5k-5k, sometimes I go beyond 5k depends on the money situation. You should be fine traveling 2800 miles.
