Speaking of a body kit, I have a question about the Wings West one. My bodyshop guy told me it takes a lot of manual labor to install them. He says they "don't just fit like a glove" and that there is a lot of prepping involved (not including painting). He also says the same about most aftermarket spoilers, including the WW spoiler I'm planning on getting.
How true is this? When you install your own body kits (OEM, WW, Value, etc.), how much work is involved in only the installion process? BTW, he estimates ~$450 worth of labor (not including painting).
Thanks for you help guys.

The oem body kit should come with the following screws taped inside the box or to the parts (I forget which one)
Front Spoiler
2 LT & RT bracket A
2 bracket B
4 Bumper bolts
4 Flange nuts
Side Skirts
8 Expansion clips
Rear Spoiler
9 Bumper bolts
4 Spring buts
4 Self-tapping screws
13 Clip nuts
4 Flange bolts
If you didn't get these, I would suggest e-mailing them back about it. As for installation, the hardest part is the front lip because you have to drill holes in order to secure the lip on with the given screws. Other than that, it should be a 4 hour job average for 1 person (1 person is enough
).

Thanks for the replies. I'm still not sure about one thing though. When the kit is put on, does it usually fit well, like a glove? The main point I was trying to make was that he says there's a lot of "tweaking" involved in putting them on. In other words, is it a simple "plug and play?"
the easiest mod i've ever done. just "plug and play". i do recommend having someone help with taking off the side skirts. they do take a strong tug to take off. anyone who knows how to put in a bolt will be able to do this mod themselves.

Depending on the quality of the kit. All kits are molded from a specimen. You can get Fiberglass or Polyurethan. Now depending on how cheap the compagny is, they'll try to get as mamy molds out of 1 specimen... being the last few pretty ****ty finish and fitting the car crooked . This is mostly true for fiberglass kits which are hell to install compared to poly. Poly is like plastic, bends easier with heat and fits usually pretty good. With this again comes cost $$. Figure out what you want to spend or deal with the headaches after. Also fiberglass kits, like you said need the prepped, they have scuffs, little holes and unfinished rigid surfaces that need to be looked at prior to painting... Anyways hope this answers a bit of your question about plug n play... guess what I learned the hard way on my previous car...
the hardest thing for me was trying to line up the rear lip, the rest is easy, still today i still cannot get the rear lip line up so it doesn't have the cap between the rear bumper and rear lip.
I bought a kit from hond**********.com Kit came, everything was the but rear mounting kit. Called them up, left a message. Call them next day, they said they sent out and they didn't know what happened to the rear mounting kit. Waited and still waiting for their FU$KING LYING A$$ to ship it to me...i got fed up and went to home depot...bought some nuts, bolts, washers and did it myself. I then looked on a flap of the box and it says, hardware missing.
For those who has purchased an OEM bodykit from this site; can you guys tell me if the quality of the paint is "like factory" meaning the color matches and is of proper paint coatings. I'm planning on buying it from this site and it seems like a pretty good deal with it painted. Please let me know what you think...
thanks!
