I installed my OBX headers a couple weeks ago and it runs great. I can definitely feel a difference. A question I have for people that have installed it also, do you guys hear a different noise from about 2800-3400 rpms? A bit of a exhaust whiny sound. It actually sounds a bit like a supercharger spooling up. I'm wondering if I didn't tighten everything correctly or what.

 

I hear it only at 2800 rpm, it seems that a chracteristic sound of the headers.

 

It's normal.

 

I have the resonance as well at around 2500-2800 RPM's. Anybody know if the Comptech's produce a similar sound? Just curious....

I also thought it was a bad install job but I guess it isn't. Yea!!

 

Oh good! I was just about to ask the same question. It almost sounds like a slight vibration/resonance in the lower RPM's. I was getting worried that the install was incorrect. Thanks for telling me its normal.

 

Does that sound also go for the Comptech headers?
