Obx headers (Cheap deal?)

I'm about to get the obx headers for my 99tl. My question is what do you guys prefer?

OBX Ceramic Headers = 275.00

OBX stainless steel racing Headers = 325.00

Shouldn't both have the same gains? Is that cheap or what? Anyone have there car dynoed with the OBX headers? If so what are the gains?

Why is the stainless steel racing headers more expensive? Is it because of the material?

Is it a good idea to get headers before getting a exhaust system and intake?

Yes the cost differential is because of the cost of stainless steel versus the mild steel used on ceramic headers.

Headers are part of the exhaust syste. Also, there is no specific order when modding your car. You need to look at your mods as a whole and not lego block your mods.

I'd recommend stainless steel over ceramic. Because of the mild steel used on ceramic headers, they've been known to crack.

Also what is your budget for your headers. If you do a search you'll find a lot of threads on the issue. Basically your low cost headers are made by OBX (~$275) or Megan (~$220). In the mid price category you have Alpha Werks at $600. The top of the line header is made by Comptech and costs about $1100.

They all yield about the same. Everyone copied off of Comptech's design.

The price differences come from the quality and the brand name.

Get stainless steel; and you should be able to find a set for about 270-300 shipped new.
