Nos

I was wondering if any of you guy know if I should retard my timing if I'm running 75 shot NOS. I know you have to do it on four cylinder cars but I'm not sure if it's the same with our cars. It runs fine now but It might screw up any time now. Please let know. Oh BTW My tranny is still working fine.

Don't know anything about NOS as I would never do this to my car, however you're comment of no problems with you're tranny yet, I see a thread started by you in the near future as follows:

"I think my Tranny is going, Acura really should get this problem repaired, ps, they did not know I used NOS"

One BIG disadvantage is that it will void warranty coverage for your drivetrain.

You guys are just jealous that my car puts more hp @ wheels than your's does at the crank.......

As for your original question about timing.....NO you can't retard the timing. The computer samples 20 times a second and adjusts the timing as necessary. I have a 100 shot and you just need to change the plugs to NON platinum

So you think I could go 100 shot with no problem. I already have zex cold plugs. How does your tranny handle it. I'm praying everytime I use it my tranny doesn't break. oh BTW how much does it cost for a bottle refill there??

Well for my understanding and having 3 trannies replaced. The reason trannies go bad is because of overheating. That is when hard shifting on 2nd, 3rd gear. In other words your car would rev up before the gear is engage and then it would shift hard sometimes you could fell like the car is going to break. Most of the complaints about trannies is that they are not smooth on 1st gear sometimes 2nd or from Reverse to 1st. Acura is no longer giving you a new tranny for this, which they were doing before. That behavior of the tranny does not put up an engine light. The first behavior does put on the engine light.

NOS is not likely to overheat your tranny because of the power but because of prolong used. My suggestion to you about your worries with the tranny is to either not used NOS for a long period of time at a given time. Other thing is getting a tranny cooler. This might not help much, because the tranny already has a cooler, but it goes through the engine first, so is not that efficient as aftermarket one would be.

I'm planning to put NOS on my TL too. but I don't have any money right now.

I have a zex Kit. They threw in the plugs since I bought the kit. For samkws it might be the venom kit he was talking about. That kit is one of the best kits you can buy ( according to my friend and his car) I'm happy with my zex. NSX, how is your NX kit doing. I think i'm gonna up my jet to a 100 shot, what do you think? thanks bitium, I was kind of worried for a while, now I can NOS in peace. Oh BTW I got my kit for 560 shipped to hawaii with plugs I think that was a pretty good price, but they forgot the 15 foot steel braided hose.
