Paid the roommate to put in engine air filter cuz I didn't have time and he dropped a ratchet head down into the engine compartment. I can hear it rattle when I tap on the plastic piece underneath the engine behind the front bumper. Anyone know if it'll fall out or will it cause massive destruction down there?

 

Get one of those magnetic picker-uppers.

 

I would if I could see it. Its like right underneath the radiator, and I can't even get in close enough with a flashlight to see it.

you should be able to pull that plastic down underneath the fog lights in front of the wheel... its held by removable clips. ?

The last time I used one of these things blindly, I still got what I was after... I really think that is really your best bet... most things can reverse their direction with the right coaxing!

 

Not that easy. I'm guessing he dropped it into the resonator. The problem is, the resonator isn't just a bucket...it's maze-like on the inside. So you most-likely need to take the resonator out so that you can position it in any & every way for whatever got dropped in to fall out.

However, if you take the resonator out, you could stop right there & not put it back in.
