Well boys I am sad to say that I am no longer a TL owner . Its a very sad day to say the least. I bought the car back in mid 04 with 76k miles for 14k. The car came with factory body kit, I added mods such as comptech headers, tanabe exhaust, RT cat, alpine component speakers, AEM CAI and a few other things. I never intended to sell the car since at the moment it has 145k miles on the odo and the tranny was replaced at 125k.

My plan was to drive it till it dies, especially after I got offered 6k for trade in last year by the local acura dealer lol.

The sale was an amusing experience to say the least, the lad who bought it has known me for a year or so and knows how well kept my TL was, he offered me 11,500 with the mods and I agreed.

I loved everything about the car except the constant fear of having a dead tranny. No replacements for now since I have a second car, an 00 platinum edition GS300.

 

Damn. Loved the DIY on the retros.

im selling my 03 a-spec as well... I've been driving a TL for about 3 years now and I'm kinda bored of it, need something with more power and a loud exhaust now :P.

Na guys, I am not going anywhere AZ was my first forum I joined and I am staying here, I have tried a few other forums but they just lack substance or dont attract me as much as AZ. The three places I log into are AZ, Clublexus(mainly the lighting forum) and moderator duties at HIDplanet.com/forums.

As far as the GS is considered, I bought it last year the deal was too good to pass on and I needed a second car to begin with, for the GS a 2JZ-GTE swap is in the works. I just have to find a good Toyota Aristo front clip to start the project.

As far as the retro on the TL goes, well it took me well over 3 months to complete it and then it sat in my basement for 6 months before I installed it. The buyer wanted the headlights with the car but the only way I was giving them with the car was if he had agreed to pay $1500 (that is just for the parts involved in the retro) I guess I am the only one who thinks spending $1500 on headlights and countless man hours is worth it lol.

For now GS would be the main car but I am looking into buying a used AP2 S2k .

On a side note, this was my first mod to the GS. Retrofitted a set of LS430 projectors in the halogen headlights

Damn, sorry to here that bro Living in nashua is no fairy tail, my brother had his 98 accord stolen/stripped a few years back, car was found next day totally stripped alongside route 3. Keep me posted on your situation.
