I just picked up an 03 TLS, packaged, gun metal 17's sweet ride but I have a problem - 1st I found condensation in the housing and now I have no lights what so ever - his, lows, fogs - someone please give some good news about a possible fix

I have been all over this site today (new user) and have read about 'clearing' etc and the previous owner must have cleared but did a crap job as I have read about the issues.

I would start there first..

 

uhhh i had a gauge and tailights not work due to a fuse.

 

most likly if they all went out at once its a fuse...goodluk

 

Check fuses. It maybe a loose/shorted ground and/or shorter power inverters?

um.. when there's condensation inside the housing.. the water only leads to one place.. and one place only ( i think) the ballast.. arghh.. check that out too.

 

The ballast would not cause the high beams, or the fog lights for that matter, to fail.

 

I have the same problem right now. When i turn on my car, both my lights turn on.. then within a few seconds.. my right hand side fades away and turns off.. i dont know if its the bulb or the HID kit is messed up. I am very close to ordering a new kit. Please give me some advice on what it could be before i was a few hundred bucks down the drain. Thanks!

 

So you bought a the car without checking if everything works first?

If the headlight is cleared then I guess theres no warrenty for them anymore (do warrenties pass from owner to owner?) . If the headlights aren't cleared, sometimes the dealer will replace it for you

 

I had this problem about a month or two ago. It ended up being a loose ground and a blown power inverter.

 

thanks for all the advice and suggestions - The car was checked and found no issues however after driving it for a week this started happening so I am hoping it is the loose ground etc as that should be covered by the dealer or the place I purchased the car from.

I am also looking forward to future mods based upon what I have read on this site so far - will keep you posted - thanks
