A night at the track

Went to the track last night for the first time in about 2 years. Surprisingly it wasn't too crowded and I was able to get 3 runs in.

Run 1 - Forgot to turn VSA off. Ran against a SRT-4 and barely won. I really need to work on my reaction time.. LOL!

r/t .809
60' 2.198
1/8 9.146 @ 79.70
1/4 14.021 @ 101.77

Run 2 - ran alone as one lane was being repaired. Turned off VSA this time but engine was still hot from run 1.

r/t 1.020
60' 2.160
1/8 9.153 @ 79.05
1/4 14.070 @ 100.91

Run 3 - Was up against a 3000 GT. I don't know what was wrong with his car but he was slooooow. He turned a 16.426

r/t .929
60' 2.173
1/8 9.120 @ 79.36
1/4 14.023 @ 101.12

Track conditions were 76 degrees F and Humidity was 75%

well... hard to believe he beat a SRT-4 without being supercharged... so he must be supercharged. Plus, his time is too good to be true without being supercharged ... or am i wrong?

not if it's a TL-S basic boltons and decent shifting will get you that in the TL-S he probably dumped some extra weight too

With those numbers he has to have at least headers. He probably has I/H/E and maybe pulleys?

But those are great times.

u have to have more mods than just I/H/E to be getting low 14's, even in a TL-S. I've been to track with my TL, I/H/E/P, and got some pretty shitty times...factoring in the altitude and all that, i was prolly running 15.7 1/4miles at best.

I have a TL-S with I/H/E/P and could only get a best of 14.4XX so he HAS TO BE s/c.

Doubtfull. Driver, Track Conditions, Fuel (since in cali and your piss water for fuel) weather plays a big roll too. the 2 largest factors are driver and weather. its not as simple as flooring it and going. gate shifting and shifitng at teh perfect time will yield faster times
