newbie Reving?

I thought i posted this but i dont see it anymore..Well anyway heres the issue i was driving to school and i was going about 45mph and i let go of the gas pedal and as the mph gauge was going down the rpm gauge revved from 1000x to 2000x for like 3-4 secs!! what do you guys think this can be? tune up maybe? i have no clue.. also my maintenance light blink for about 10 secs when starting the car. i just got a oil change 2 weeks ago not sure if the dealer reset the light but i just did.Any feedback is much appreciated.

mait light is only the oil change reminder- dealer forgot to reset
mention it to the service MANAGER, every job deserves to be done right!
if they cant be trusted on this, why would you bring them a big job?

revs on self downshift? fluid condition: age color and smell, miles on trans/car?

Its NOT a tune up issue~

By any chance, did you press the gas peddle a bit hard right before you let go? Then it just downshifted in prep for acceleration.

If not, just pray it doesn't happen again. Could be tranny slip.
