new wiper blades

Ok, so my wiper blades are getting a little old. They are smearing and leaving dirt on the window. I'm looking for a good wiper that'll last...any suggestions?

I would change your wipers with Acura OEM blades. They will fit the best.

I just changed mine. Our wipers are of strange lengths: 24" driver and 19" passenger. I've tried a few places around here, none of them carry these two lengths. So I used the next longest ones: 22" and 18". They work quite well. They are some jap brand, it's aluminum + magninesium with spoilers. Sliver in color, looks quite nice. If I get a chance I'd post some pics

How about Silicone blades from http://www.silblade.com/

When my blades goes out, I will replace them with these from silblade.com. I have heard great things about silicone blades.

Does anyone else tried the silicone blades from these guys.

Good - Bad???

What's the best way to change them on an 02 Type S? You can't get the passenger to go up very far.

You can always make the wipers go up, then take your key out. It will stay up, then you can change the wipers and turn your key again to make it come down.

Be grateful. I got caught in this torrential downpour last night. I mean it was like someone was aiming a fireman's hose at the windshield! Wipers going full tilt and it was almost useless.

Not usually. Wiper blades are considered a "wear item" and are not covered because they are expected to wear over time. Now if the blade just completely fell apart during the first year and had to be replaced, Acura would probably cover it under warranty. But wipers that, over time, become less and less effective are not covered.

i would hope so

-------------------------

unless the blades blew up, they aren't covered under warranty.

they are like bulbs.

-------------------------

i've used many silicone wipers and they leave too much build up.

never again, only OEM or BOSCH wipers.

Send some of that rain to Colorado. As our eloquent governer stated a few months ago "The whole state is on fire!!". HMMM!! Do you think that hurt our tourism industry this summer?!?! DUH!!

Actually, my bulbs were covered under warranty. The bulb I'm talking about is the one behind the clock on the dash, my bulb went out and it was replaced.
