New A Spec owner...looking for advice
New A Spec owner...looking for advice
Yes, picked up the A Spec two weeks ago. Very happy (understatement) so far. Still being gentle on the engine, but I can tell that the powers there!
Looking for some advice from all you cats that have been riding your TL's for a while...
1. Anything I can do while it's new to prolong the life of the car?
(should I treat the interior/exterior, etc.)
2. Any local Torontonians recommend a good place to get the car washed/waxed/babied?
Sooooo glad I found this site (wish I had found it before I bought), so much good info here.
Out,
Fletch

1. Regular oil changes and cleanups. Oh, and make sure you don't have a tire in the back seat that will rip the leather when you're remote decides to move the seat back into it.
2. Most GTA detailing shops are pretty good. If you really want to baby it, do it yourself.
3. www.torontoaccords.com now has a section devoted to TL/CL owners. See you there!
4. Get rid of your crappy MXM4's.

do it yourself products ..
Hey,
Detailing the car yourself -- you'll appreciate your car that much more. For the exterior, most people here will praise the virtues of Zaino car products. Highly recommended: I know they sell it at Square One mall (ground floor near Wal-mart) at this store called the Barber's Chair.
Interior: I personally like Lexol. Haven't been able to find it in Canada (I drive over to Detroit to get my stash). A friend who drives a Sebring convertible likes the Armor All leather wipes. The inside looks good on his car, so it seems like a decent product.
hope that helps! and welcome to the club!
