new ride

been looking around on this site for a while and im happy to say that acurazine was one of the reasons why i bought a tl. it's a ABP 03 tl-s w/ navi black interior. I got it about 43k miles for a good price. i was wondering if i can remove the antenna which i believe is only for the onstar. I dont use it anyways so might as well take it off for a cleaner look. I tried searching but nothing came up. also at 43k, i was wond ering if theres anything i should replace. thanks for the help. love the site

Very nice choice. ABP is my second favorite color in the TL next to NBP.

Great color - second only to SSM IMO.

Yes, you can remove the OnStar antenna, but you'll end up with holes you need to fill and paint over, or you can go the route that 1osunut did and use the antenna from the 7th gen Accord. You can see his in the WDP pic thread.

Nice car, looks new. Post some more pics. As for what you should do to it at 43k I'll make a short. list. You can search the key words on here for threads with full instructions.

- Change the oil to syntetic 5w30
- Change the cabin air filters
- Seafoam the engine, gas tank, crankcase
- Change the brake fluid
- Inspect the trans fluid, and see if the oil jet kit has been installed under recall.
- Go to www.acura.com and join the owners link and register your car there.
- Check out the Wash and Wax section to keep your car looking new.

Great find man! I am sure you will enjoy her I enjoy driving my 02 S. If you going to drop her I would say do headers and intake too. It definitely adds to the fun factor of the car.
