Hi Guys!
I may be the newest member of the club. I picked up My '02 WDP TL last night...she is such a beaut! I have been checking this board for the past couple of weeks, since I ordered. You guys are something else. By the way, I am a GIRL! Are there any others out there?

Congratulations on the new car and welcome to the world of posting! I surfed for a while too before I took the plunge in getting the car and starting posting.

These guys are right though - I've found that I check this place every day now!!

Dudess,

Yes...welcome.

Please check out the thread in the Off Topic section about the girl complaining about her inattentive boyfriend.

I list 7 things to do to definitely catch his attention.

Thanks guys for all the warm welcomes! I don't take things too seriously so I ought to be OK here. I can't really see me doing any mods to the car but stranger things have happened. My husband is wanting to change the wheels but I told him I didn't want it to look like a car that belonged to the guys on the acura-tl.com forum! (If I could figure out how, I would put one of those big goofy smiley face grins here!) ...maybe that will be it...

Maybe I feel this way about mods since I am one of those "old ladies who like to buy Acuras". I will be 40 in less than a month, so to many of you I am certain that is OLD. Maybe my TL is my mid-life crisis car.

Do you swear to protect and abide by the laws of this thing we have? If so slice your hand and then touch the computer screen. Then and only then will you be a part of the TL family....

Hi Cbob,

Welcome to the site. I just joined recently myself. I'll be 40 in Dec., so don't feel alone when you're on this site.

The biggest hurdle to overcome here is understanding all these young pups jargon.

But before long, you'll have that TL slammed, the headlights cleared, sportin' 20's... and have one sweet sled, fo sho...

Only her second post and she's already a comedienne!

Well you're not much older than I (38), and I do feel like I could be a dad to some of these guys.

Welcome and enjoy. It is addicting (both the car and this board).

Cbob, you purchased a great vehicle. I have had mine for 3 months and I love it. I am one year younger than you and we are more the minority, age wise, here, thus why the mods are sometimes puzzling (ie lowering the car an inch from the ground, so you can take out your tranny or oil pan on a raised man hole cover).

Not to slag the young guys as their posts are fun.

BTW, my wife loves the car and talked me out of the TL-S as she liked the ride of the TL better. Problem is , I always have it and she must drive the Accord.
:p

I just aksed if you were one of them old ladies. But 35&40s is the target age range for this car that Acura had in mind. But I see old girls about late 50s & 60s driving them. I am going to be 40 myself in Feb.

Welcome, CBob. Congrats on your new car. I just got mine about a week ago, and I think it's the best investment -- actually, the only investment -- I've ever made.

I'm 29... There appears to be quite a constituency from the late teens to early twenties... When I was that age, I was driving a Subaru Justy. What did I do wrong -- or what is everyone else doing right -- that they have Acuras at that age?!?!

Almost as bad as my '76 FIAT 128, but that's another thread.

I agree though. After that I drove a '78 Chevy Impala which I bought with 69K miles on the odo for $2,500 and sold six years later for $900 with 165K miles. God did I have some fun times IN that car .

I then started making money and could afford better rides.

I have said it before, how do these young guys afford these expensive cars. In my early 20s I had a 1982 Accord, and was just buying my 1st house, and as such a luxury vehicle was way out of my price range. Also, I bought the Accord used. Great car too.
