If you use a Mobil 1 filter, would you only need to replace it every 15,000 miles too?

Yeah unless they make a 15,000 mile filter, which I highly doubt, how are you going to address changing the filter?

just by removing the filter at 7500 and sticking a new one on. you will only loose the oil thats in the filter

How does using Synthetic for extended intervals effect warranty coverage? (Just to CYA, my warranty says not performing 'regular maintenance' is grounds for dropping coverage, so I'm concerned for myself )

that wont effect warranty unless that is PROVEN to be the reason, or cause of what ever the failure is. ive been running extended change intervals on the TL for 171,000 miles now. no issues whatsoever, no burning no nothing. and now its gong twice as long between changes!
