I dunno what labor costs are around there but the mounts around $140 - $150 for front and back (theyre different and cost slightly differently as well) the side is a little cheaper at $60 or $80 or something like that. It takes about an hour to do the front and side, and depending on how skilled / familiar with the work involved ur mechanic is an hour or two for the back. Dont let them BS you and tell you they need to remove the k-frame because they can do it from above much more quickly which means less $$$. My shop would charge $200 for labor for the job.

Heres a link to a tsb on the front mount, you'll get the general idea from this. Rear mount comes off much the same, you'll want take off the strut tower brace for the rear as it will make it easier to take out. It helps to be small my mechanic was litteraly lying on top of the engine when he was diggin it out. The side mount is pretty straight forward, its located by the PS pump.

Mounts absorb a large portion of the torsional energy generated by the engine. Also they absorb vibrations created by the thousands of little explosions that happen inside your engine when its running.
On our cars honda decided to go with fluid filled vacuum actuated mounts which vary their hardness according to engine loads. However, their wunder-mounts tend to all go to shit by the 50k - 60k mile mark. The easiest way to test for them is outlined in the pdf i posted.
Have a buddy stand in front of the car with the hood open. With then engine running put the car in drive, hold ur foot down on the brake, and give it a little gas. Then do the same in reverse. Your friend should be looking for how far the engine rocks back and forward. If you hear any clanking that's a tell tale sign of a bad mount. Also if they're covered in a fluid that means their also dead.

do any of you recommend buying aftermarket or performance mounts since our factory mounts fail 60-70k?? i'm goin to try to upgrade my warranty if i can't i guess i will be trading my car because i'm not paying a crazy price to get all my mounts replaced

Yeah alot of people buy aftermarket mounts from innovate i think. They are more solid and last longer, but are harsher and will leave a little vibration at idle. I dont think theyre much cheaper.

And NO, you dont have to remove the motor to do this. It can be done in your driveway in a hr or 2. (odds are all you need is the front and passenger side)

Usually front. Its hard to see the rear. Best way to test it is with a vacuum pump and gauge. Replace the front and side and see how it feels.
