I'm a new member and would just like to say hello to everyone on the board. For over a year I have been trying to decide on whether to get a used TL or a new V6 accord. I decided to listen to my heart, and I am now searching for a 2000/2001 SSM 3.2TL in good condition. About 30 min. ago I made my first purchase from ACP. I ordered a silver aem cai with by-pass valve, and a chrome Neuspeed strut tie bar. Can anyone tell me how much horsepower Cai and headers would give a tl-p?

 

Congrats on your decision to buy the TL. You will not be disappointed. Plus it's more powerful than the V6 accord.

Cai = ~5-10 hp
Headers = ~15-20 hp

 

That's about right. congrats, make sure to add body kit. You will see a big difference.

 

Is that at the wheel or at the crank? There is a difference.

 

at the wheels. you could always asume everything is at the wheels, except for stock cars HP.

 

I have a TL-S and i just put the AEM CAI on and it gave me about 5 more hp.

Obviously the man(?) knows what he wants. This way he can mod his(?) car as soon as he gets it .

 

I did too. Springs, strut bar, misc bulbs, visor, type-s tails and type-s rims/tires. So ?

 

I am 100% sure that i am going to get a TL. Buying a few parts before i get the car will not hurt anything, it will only make me want the car sooner. I hope they locate my car soon.

 

Won't be long until the headers come....

While you are at it, go ahead and buy wheels, a kit, catback, 6 TV's, and buy me some stuff too

What service are you using to locate a car for you ? Did you just let dealers know what your parameters are ?

 

I would like all of the above but i don't really want a catback, and one tv is enough for me. Can't wait till 4th is once more.
