New Headers

I'm thinking about getting these equal-length headers from prototype racing.

The idea seems solid and the quality is there, all I need now are the funds.

there has been a lot of discussion on these. doing a search provides a lot of good reading. Last time it came up, I don't believe they were in production yet.

The car used is a 2000 Accord V6 Coupe with 79,000 miles. It has the following modifications: AEM cold air intake, AEM power pulleys (alt. and p/s), Denso Iridium K20 spark plugs, Random Technology Catalytic converter, 2 3/8" dia custom cat-back exhaust system and Comptech Headers. The Dyno runs were done at Harv's Performance Center (12221 Rivera Rd, Whittier, CA.) on a Dynojet Model 248C Chassis Dynamometer. This data starts at 4300 RPM because Harve runs the car on the Dyno the same way it's driven on the street. Punch it in 1st gear, and let it go! The numbers here are the data obtained after the shift into 3rd gear, and up to the redline. The Car was run on July 25th with the Comptech headers then driven back to our shop to install the Prototype Racing headers. The very next day the car returned to Harv's for another run with the Prototype racing headers. The results are below. Thanks to Paolo Villarroel for the use of his immaculate Accord V6 Coupe!

I never heard of them being produced...don't think they're available yet. Last I heard they were going to be priced in the neighborhood of $1,000-$1,200.

Yup, they've been working on them for a long time now. Not ready for prime time yet.
