when was the trans replaced? save money for that 3-4k or buy a used 04-06 tl trans or 04 odyssey trans, those last a whole lot longer than ours and have a shop install it.2k max installed

105k service? check the breaks, suspension, air filters, valve adj. (but u can do that when u do teh 105k), run some seafoam in the oil, gas and intake, change the oil, how are the tires?

be sure the timing belt and water pump were done at 105, if not do those NOW
Have a read thru the thread titles for advice on what to do on your new baby
register with acura as the new owner and ask for a history of warranty work done or open recalls

The last Trans was replace at a local dealer at 115,000 and it now has 167,000 miles. so the 04-06 TL trans will button right up?

yes, i think all you need to do is switch out the solenoid values.

how is the replacement tranny holding up, any slipping?

just need to switch some sensors/solenoids and tap some holes in the trans. thats all. no fabrication required.

I think it shifting fine no slipping or hard shifts. But the shop that did ALL the work needs the person name that was register when service was done to bring up info on exactly what was completed. So does anyone know how to go about getting names of previous owners??
On car-fax it says all schedule maintenance was completed for each of the schedule mile mark Acura recommended to bring in.
