New guy with a question.

Hi all,

I bought a 2000 TL with 59K miles (61K now). My question is about the tranny. Mine did have the recall (done at 42K miles) and only the jets were replaced, not the tranny. Car shifts perfect, I have all records on service. So, what reliablilty does the tranny have with the replaced jets? My car was really owned by a little old lady, who only drove it 8K miles a year in a little town.

thanks,
jason

Well, all I can tell you is drive it untill you start feeling a "jerk" or the gears are slipping because when that happens, you'll get a new tranny. Don't worry about anything, you still under warranty dude!

my manufacture date is 11/99, but have only 61K miles, do you guys think the dealer will still honor the tranny warranty?

It depends on the date when the car was purchased by the lady. Check the date on the paperwork for the first service she had, and figure it out from there. More likely it is out of warranty now, but they might still honor it.
