new owner here! a few questions....

hello everyone! just purchased my first acura ever. Acura TL-S. .. i love it!
2002 Acura TL type S, 90k. silver on black. every option. excellent condition. Runs perfect! starts right up, tranny shift smoothly.

Is there anything i should look out for? replace?

should i do a full tune up just to be on the safe side? ie. oil change, new battery, all fluids, spark plugs etc..?

thanks guys in advance! hopefully i could get some tips!

oh yeh will post pics when i wash it.. im too busy driving the thing.

90k sounds a bit high but hey it's how well the ex-owner took care of the car. the only thing i would watch out for is the tranny and make sure all the tune ups have been performed. at 90k you might want to look into doing a major tune up like timing belt and other drive belts. if your fluids haven't been flushed and replaced, do that too. other than that it sounds like you have a great car and don't forget to post pics so we can all see it.

Welcome to AZ. 90k is nothing to acura as long as it was taken care properly by previous owner. Major tuneup is 110k, so drive and get a feel of it then you will know what you need then.

Hey look! I got here before 01tl4tl!! Welcome to the forum! Well, to answer your question, it might be a good idea to install NGK Iridiums, run Seafoam through the intake right BEFORE replacing the plugs (do a search for: seafoamed the ol' TL), register the car by calling Acura customer care at 1-800-382-2238, ext: 5, M-F from 6a-5p. Make sure you have your VIN # handy. The reason for this is now you'll be registered in their database as the owner and will keep you informed regarding recalls and you can find out about the history of any and all repairs done to the car. (Such as the infamous tranny issues) There's lots of information on this site so if you have any questions, use the search feature to get your answers. By the way, 01tl4tl is the guy that usually gives out the info above. I hope he doesn't mind that I gave it to you first. He's very knowledgeable if you have any questions.
