Post New feature on TL-S - auto-up driver's window

I bet you could just buy the window switch and you could have that on you 99/00 TL. I believe the function that makes auto down is in the switch. Therefore I'm gonna buy four of them and make all my windows auto up and down.

Cool

Is that the same concept as Volkswagen commercial, the windows come all down. Like to do that in my CL-S...

Let me know if you can get the switches individually. I think it only comes as teh complete 4 switch assembly.

Why don't they just make all windows autoup and down? It seems like such a simple feature that cannot cost that much. If I'm correct, I think BMW's and Audi's have this...If they want to pack the car with features, then the auto up and down for all windows should be standard, don't you guys think?

I guess Acura realized that this all important feature was necessary because they were losing sales to the Maxima... Actually, a remote activated down (a la the German makes) and a moonroof open feature would be COOL because it gets HOT in Alabama.

I think maybe the reason why all windows are not made so that they all do the auto-up is becase it maybe a safety issue. Just in case if a kid had their hand in the window and somone hit the auto-up from the master switch or from same door.

I dont know....just a thought

Uhhhhhhhhhhhhhm unless I'm sadly mistaken, its more than just a switch. I could be dead wrong, but its like saying the difference between an M3 and a 328 is the M badge, wheels and mirrors... riiiiiight.

Just because that's all you see doesn't mean there isn't more chemistry going on inside.

I mean hell most of us thought the 1999 and 2000 were almost identical. How many were surprised that the intake's were different with the coolant issue. And new valve covers, and different coin holder, vapor lock... little things you NEVER would have known to be different if ppl hadn't told you.

The power windows monitor the resistance on the motor pushing the window up. When it hits high resistance it knows the window is all the way up and to stop trying to push it up. So theoretically if you put an arm or head in the window and rolled it up it would just pinch you a little and then stop. And I fully recommend testing your windows in this manner to ensure their motor is working properly.
