Question New body style for the TL

Does anyone know if and/or when the new body style for the tl is supposed to come out? I remember once reading on this forum that there are rumors for a new body style for the 2003 model year. Anyone else see this?

I'm comtemplating as to whether I should stick out the extra year or so for the new body style or just get one right now.

Chances are they will, Honda Motherfvckers!!

All the things you hear about the new body styling is pur rumors so don't take it seriously. There are also rumors of a manual version supposidly in later this year... But if you want one, get it now. But I believe they'll probably have the 2003 by this time next year anyway.. Honda Motherfvchers!!

Ok, sorry, I'm just a bitter about the whole 02 release. I have no fact to base this on, just my opinion.

Another rumor here (LOL Edub )....

Basically the general take is that Acura is going to redesign the TL along with the RL in 2003 as a 2004 model. Seems to be what everyone has been hearing / reading.....

I think the change might be in 2004 not 2003.
I see the current version being around another year.I posted this when somebody was talking about the RL being redesigned. The RL will get its new style next year 2003. I think the TL will follow the year after. This current body style has been around since 99.
Acura redesigned the TL in 99 the 2000 got more than a few improvements. The 2001 is the same as 2000. The 2002 got new face & over 500 improvements + performance version.
So with all this said if they do a five year cycle 2004 is the year.

Edub-TL: I can't blame you. I'd be rip-sh*t if my lease expired, I bought a TL, then 3 months later the S came along. Fortunatly, the timing worked for me. I usually does not!

It's widely known that Acura has recently hired the guy from the the old AMC.

This should really bring a breath of fresh air to the look of the Acura.

I also hear that they added some of the recently departed Pontiac people. The ones responsible for that cool looking camping tent car that was on Survivor last night.

I see good things coming for Acura's SUV segment soon.

Does this mean the 2003/04 TL is going to look more like a Pacer? Or maybe a Gremlin?

Doesn't Honda use a four year cycle?

Doesn't Honda use a four year cycle?[/B][/QUOTE]I was thinking of when I got my new 94 Accord. It was redesigned for 94 95 was the same. In 96 they added a V6 & made the car longer with improvements 97 was the same.
In 98 the Accord was redesigned again. This is a four year cycle but who knows what they will do.I think The RL was skipped a model year.It did not have what was it a 2000 or 2001 model.I don't know what they will do but if they did the TL in 2003 this would only give the Type-S one model year in its current version.
