An '02 front bumper won't fit on a 99-01 TL. Can someone confirm this?

I am assuming you are talking about the front bumper. I am 99% sure the 02 front will not fit the 99-01 front. Unless you are willing to do some serious modifications (and a lot of $$$) to the front to make it fit.

yes..i know it wont fit and i know i will need to do some serious modss to it. i just wanna know how much it will cost so i can think twice about doing it.

Why don't you just call Acura to see if they'll sell you the 02 front bumper and how much? It doesn't hurt to ask.

I think you're better off just trading in your 99 and gettin a 02 instead, I'm sure you'll need to get..bumper, hood, headlights, and maybe some other internal mods and money for labor. At the prices cars are now, you might as well just trade in and get a newer car with a better tranny, and the ever so desired o2 tail lights..

or I think you can buy the Inspire bumper off Black_TL..... hum not sure is that's his screen name but I know a member there that's selling the bumper, they come with PERFECT fit fogs, too.....

Well if it take that much to make it fit.. then forget about it. i thought i would have to mess with the bumper only and not with the hood and lights and other stuff.
And I dont wanna to trade me car in for an 02. And i wouldnt want another Tl. my next car might be an RL or something else.

You need to change the Headlights, Grille, Hood, and fenders. Lots of $$s.

I would just try to graft the new bumper to the car. Cut off the bottom of the old bumper and mold on the new one. Im sure a body shop can almost anything.

Hey, NBP..i was planning with just messing with the front bumper only and not with all the other stuff..i'm dont wanna waste the much money for just happing some fog lights at the bottom.
I have a close friend in Japan. i hope he can get a kit for me like he says for a good deal. Until then..i'l have to wait..

Yeah i wouldnt mess with it either unless i had a buddy at a body shop. i heard the cost of the japan stuff isnt bad it the shipping that will kill ya. From what i read here NOBODY has been able to get kits shipped cheap.

Wiggingboy Im here. Got an Inspire Bumper with all mods already done in the wiring so you just plug and play. I also have all the OEM hardware. So does anyone have a guestimation of how much it would be to outfit a 99-01 TL with an '02 front end?? complete with hood, lights, bumber, and etc...just curious...I have a friend that works at a body shop, and he owes me a huge favor...

It would certainly cost a lot do to the fact that you have to buy the bumper, fogs, wiring, headlamps, and possibly the fenders though I am not sure on that. I am trying to sell a brandnew Inspire bumper with oem fogs and wiring that is painted Nighthawkblack pearl. send me a private message if you are interested.
